How to store Jewelry

Storing jewelry properly is a key factor to ensure you can enjoy your treasures over a long period of time.

Keep your jewelry in an appropriate, preferably compartmentalized, jewelry box in a low humidity area and away from direct sunlight. Organizing your items in soft fabric-lined jewelry boxes will help protect the pieces from dust and accidental damage. Placing jewelry separate from each other will also prevent gemstones and metals of different hardness to scratch each other.

While jewelry should be regularly cleaned, do not allow jewelry to stay wet. Before putting away your jewelry, always ensure all pieces stored together are clean and completely dried.

Sterling Silver jewelry is the most prone to tarnish. Keep Sterling Silver jewelry organized separately in a space with plenty of air circulation. Adding a silica gel packet helps to remove moisture.
